The World Centres are all completely different and offer a diverse selection of activities throughout the year to suit all ages, abilities and interests. The beautiful Swiss Alps offer a host of exciting activities in the spring and autumn: hiking; paragliding; rock climbing; abseiling; mountain biking; day trips; night hikes; scavenger hunt; campfires and Swiss night to name but a few. Check out full details here.

Mexican Fiestas and Traditions 27 October 2011 - 4 November 2011 This 8 night event will focus on Mexican traditions, particularly the Day of the Dead. Essence of India I and optional children's camp 3 January 2012 - 14 January 2012 Immerse yourself in Indian culture and grow your confidence as you discover the colourful city of Pune. After the event, stay on, take a daybreak and get involved in a community action project as you plan and run a camp for local children.
Celebrate Our Centenary I - 2012 15 February 2012 - 24 February 2012 Celebrate the centenary of international Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting at Sangam and capture the spirit of World Thinking Day as you discover local traditions!
Essence of India II, 1 March 2012 - 9 March 2012 Experience the excitement of cultural exchange in the centenary year of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Sangam.
Essence of India III 25 June 2012 - 1 July 2012 Experience the excitement of cultural exchange by sharing your traditions and learning about Indian ones. Explore India through dance, music, crafts, food, fashion and more! This is a great introduction to the diversity of India, a rapidly changing country with ancient traditions.
Essence of India IV 27 August 2012 - 2 September 2012 Discover Indian culture as you witness daily life in Pune. Build your confidence to go out and about and interact with locals, try Indian food and witness how traditions and modern trends can exist side by side in the colourful and busy city of Pune.
Feasts & Festivals 10 September 2012 - 21 September 2012 A celebration of Indian food and culture! Meet local people, explore Indian cuisine and celebrate the Ganapati festival.
Celebrate our Centenary II (including World Sangam Day) 8 October 2012 - 19 October 2012 Join in the fun on World Sangam Day together with staff and volunteers on-site! Find out the latest news about the ten million strong World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, as we celebrate over one hundred years of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting across the globe.
Pax Lodge have a number of exciting events on offer for the autumn and winter:
Autumn Activities - Sunday 30th October to Thursday 3rd November include a Service Project; Harvest Festival Activities; International Autumn Activities; Halloween party; Day of the Dead celebrations and Centenary night.
Winter Activities: We have a large variety of seasonal and festive activities planned, ranging from Christmas markets to ice skating at the Tower of London and even caroling in the local area. In the spirit of the season, you can also take part in a Charles Dickens walk and see the places where he wrote many of his books and the locations that featured in them
